The Chartered Accountancy Course is the membership qualification course offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It consists of three levels of examinations and three years of practical training under a practicing Chartered Accountant.

This Course is mainly divided into three stages. They are

Level – 1 : CA Foundation

Level – 2 : CA Intermediate

Level – 3 : CA Final

Foundation Course is the entry level for Chartered Accountancy Course.

Enroll for Foundation Course after appearing in class 12th examination.

Complete four months study period.

Foundation Examinations are held twice a year in the months of May and November.

Appear in Foundation Examination after passing in the 10+2 examination.

A Foundation Course candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination if he/ she obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all the papers, subject to the principle of negative marking.

A student who has passed Foundation Examination is eligible for CA Intermediate Course

A candidate is eligible for enrolment to any of the Group(s) of the Intermediate Course on passing the Foundation Examination.

Appear in Intermediate Examination after completing 8 months.

Successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS and Orientation) before commencement of the practical training.

Join articled training after passing either of the Group or Both Groups of Intermediate Course and after successfully undergoing ICITSS.

Clear the balance Group (if any) of Intermediate Examination.

Register for CA Final after Passing Both groups of CA Intermediate course

Successfully undergo Four Weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (AICITSS) during the last two years of practical training but before appearing in the Final Examination.

Appear in the Final Examination on completion of the practical training or while serving last 6 months of articled training and after successful completion of AICITSS.

Complete articled training of 3 years.

Pass Final Examination.
