                                               The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body set up by an Act of Parliament, viz. The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 for the regulation of profession of Chartered Accountancy in the country. The Institute functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and is the second largest professional body of Chartered Accountants in the world.

CA Foundation

CA Foundation is the new entrance level for the Chartered Accountancy Course in India. Earlier it was known as Common Proficiency Test (CPT).

ELIGIBILTY:-

The candidate can register for the CA Foundation after appearing in 12th board/ Sr.Inter examinations and take the exam after qualifying the 12th examinations.
SUBJECTS IN CA – FOUNDATION:
CA Foundation is partially descriptive and partially objective test consisting of 400 marks. The four subjects are:
1. Principles and Practices of Accounting
2. Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting
3. Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning Statistics
4. Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge.

The above two papers are descriptive while the later two are objective with negative marking.

C.A.  INTERMEDIATE

The CA Intermediate Exam comes into picture with the Implementation of Revised Scheme of Education & Training for CA Course.
The CA Intermediate Exam is the 2nd level of exam of students pursuing the Chartered Accountancy Course (CA).
With this exam, often abridged as CA Inter, the students can appear for the CA Inter Exam after clearing the CPT Exam or the CA Foundation Exam (which is the entrance exam for CA Students). In some scenarios, there is a direct entry to the CA Intermediate. (Read below for more on direct entry to CA Intermediate).

CA Final

The CA course at the Final level (ICAI: Final Examination) consists of theoretical examinations as well as practical training in the form of articleship. There are 8 subjects to be studied arranged into 2 groups of 4 papers of 100 marks each i.e. a total of 6 papers if 100 marks each….

CA FINAL Subjects & Exam Details

There are total 8 subjects in both the groups of CA FINAL. Group I has 4 subjects and Group II has 4 Subjects
Conditions, Eligibility & Passing Criteria For CA FINAL
1)Students can give their CA Final Exam in the Last 6 months of their Articleship.
2) A student has to secure minimum 40% marks in each paper of the Groups AND minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of that Group put together.
3) The students have the option of writing both the Groups together or any one Group.
4) Exams are conducted in May & November twice in a year.
